Selecting Preferences from the Edit Menu brings up the Preferences Window. This window allows the user to change the way CavePlot handles various options. The settings for the options are automatically saved to a file, allowing CavePlot to remember them from run to run.
The preferences file is located either in the system folder (System 7.xx) or in the folder containing CavePlot (System 6.xx). The file is ASCII text and may be edited if desired.
The options which can currently be changed include sounds, default data editor, printer resolution, automatic data backup, and loop closure limits.
